What paint correction does
Removes the top layer of clear coat that contains scratches, swirls, oxidation, and water spots. Brings back the original gloss + depth of factory paint.
The grades of correction
Single-stage: removes light scratches + mild oxidation. 4-6 hours for most cars.
Two-stage: heavy correction + finishing polish. 6-10 hours for most cars.
Three-stage: severe oxidation + clearcoat issues. 12-20 hours, sometimes 2 days.
The Miami-specific need
Miami sun causes oxidation faster than other climates. White cars particularly. Most 5+ year old Miami daily drivers benefit from at least single-stage correction.
What we do
Wash + clay bar surface prep. Test panel to determine right pad + compound. Section-by-section polish using rotary or DA polisher. Wipe + inspect after each pass. Multi-step compound + polish process.
What it costs
Single-stage: $385-585 sedan, $585-885 SUV.
Two-stage: $685-985 sedan, $985-1,400 SUV.
Three-stage: $1,200-1,800 sedan.
When NOT to do paint correction
- Clearcoat is already failing (won't help — clear coat needs reapplication)
- Repaint quality work issues (corrects symptoms, not cause)
- About to ceramic coat anyway (we include correction with ceramic install)
