The Heritage Tree Co. story
Sam Hewitt started Heritage Tree Co. in 2007 after 11 years climbing for one of Portland's largest tree companies. He got tired of watching crews use damaging cuts that ruined tree health for short-term aesthetics, and tired of profit-driven recommendations to remove trees that just needed pruning. So he started Heritage with three rules: ISA-certified arborist on every quote, real arboriculture (not just chainsaw work), and honest assessments — even when honest means recommending against the work we'd do. Today we're 14 strong including 6 ISA-certified arborists. We're the company you call when you want a real arborist's opinion, not just a sales pitch.
