Pete Hawthorne started OverHead Specialists in 2003 after 12 years as a master door installer for one of DFW's biggest national franchise. He got tired of watching subcontracted helpers do install work that needed a trained tech — and watching homeowners get stuck with bills for repairs that should have been included. So he started OverHead with three rules: every tech is a W-2 employee (no subcontractors), every truck is fully stocked for the most common repairs, and every quote is in writing before we touch the door. Today the company is 16 strong with 8 service trucks. We do 30+ Dallas garage door jobs every weekday. When you call, you get a fully-trained tech (not a helper) within 60 minutes during business hours.
