Do you charge for the diagnostic?
Phone-quoted issues (spring, opener, off-track door) we quote the price on the phone. If you book on the phone there's no diagnostic fee. If we arrive and the problem is something different, we re-quote in writing — no charge for the diagnostic visit if you don't proceed.
Can you actually fix it same-day?
Yes for most repairs (springs, openers, rollers, tracks). New door installs typically scheduled 2-5 days out. After-hours emergencies (broken spring after 8pm) are typically responded to within 90 minutes.
How long do springs typically last?
Standard residential springs (10,000 cycle) last 7-12 years for most families. Heavy-use households (multiple cars going in/out 6+ times daily) may need replacement at 5-7 years. Upgraded high-cycle springs (25,000-50,000 cycle) last 15-20 years and cost $30-60 more — usually worth it.
Will you upsell me?
No. We give you the diagnostic, the recommendation, and the price. If a $185 repair will solve your issue for 5+ more years, that's what we recommend. We don't push new doors on people whose existing door has good life left.
